Job Description

Performance Knowledge, Skills Attributes and Characteristics:

General knowledge of the principles and techniques involved in Server/Cloud to personal computer transfer; general knowledge of both server and personal computer operating systems; general knowledge of local area network topologies and operating systems; good knowledge of systems analysis concepts; ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; ability to document and retain notes; basic troubleshooting skills; ability to use time efficiently and effectively; ability to work well with others; possess logical reasoning and sound judgement; initiative and resourcefulness; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position; strong customer service skills and background; willingness to ensure that classroom technology is working for instruction; general A/V knowledge on sound/light boards/connections/lighting; Flexibility in scheduling for after school/weekend activities.

Civil Service Title

Job Qualifications
  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in computer programming which included, at least, at least one (1) year of experience in programming and/or maintenance of vendor supplied operating software; or:
  2. Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered two (2) or four (4) year college or university with an Associate's degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and four (4) years of data processing experience, two (2) years of which, included computer programming and/or maintenance of vendor supplied operating software; or:
  3. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six (6) years of data processing experience, two (2) years of which, included computer programming, and at least one (1) year of experience in programming and/or maintenance of vendor supplied operating software; or:
  4. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1), (2) and (3).
