We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher/Math/ELA or Science (Dual Certified) to join our team, focusing on students in middle school. This role involves delivering specially designed instruction in the integrated co-teaching setting. Essential duties include comprehensive case management, including overseeing progress monitoring and IEP development, and facilitating transition planning as necessary. The successful candidate will also be expected to plan and collaborate effectively with district staff and outside partners, along with other responsibilities as assigned by the administration.
Delivering specially designed instruction to students, grades 6-8 in an integrated co-teaching setting.
Shared responsibilities as a co-teaching team to deliver high quality instruction
Providing academic support through AIS, Integrated co-teaching, and other settings as assigned.
Case management in overseeing progress monitoring and IEP development of special education students grades 6-8.
Providing transition planning support as necessary
Planning and collaborating with district staff and out of district partners
Contribute to a positive culture with the special education department, as well as throughout the middle school
Other responsibilities deemed necessary by the building or district administration
Successful candidates must possess New York State Certification in Special Education with Certification in ELA, Math, or Science (Dual Certified)
