- Graduation from High School or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with classroom staff
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Candidate must possess the ability to develop and maintain an empathetic attitude toward disabled students; work cooperatively with others in a positive manner; willing to learn specialized instructional/management techniques with disabled students, as needed; willing to seek and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Interventions Certification; ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
Significant standing; some walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Must have the ability to lift 30 lbs.
