10 Month Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse

General Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the District's school health service program in accordance with district and state policies and regulations.

 

  • Provide nursing care and coordinate physical screening to students
  • Implement first aid measures for students as needed.
  • Implement and record required screening programs; notify parents when further medical evaluation is indicated.
  • Establish and update health and immunization records.
  • Prepare and maintain student clinic records and prepare required reports.
  • Develop Individual Health Care Plans and collaborate on 504 Plans for students on a case by case basis.
  • Complete the preliminary nursing assessments
  • Orient the staff and teach specific medical procedures for the evaluation and maintenance of the medically involved students in the classroom.
  • Follow procedures for suspected cases of child abuse and neglect.
  • Act as a liaison between the school, home health department professionals, and other community agencies.
  •  Coordinate the purchasing and maintenance of clinic equipment and assesses the need for consumable supplies on an annual basis.
  • Perform related work as required.

This position is 8 hours per day.

 

LPN Pay Rate: $18.98 to $21.00

RN Pay Rate $24.39 to $26.00
