| Probationary Elementary Assistant Principal (Anticipated) | | Responsibilities/Experience: -
To assist the principal, faculty, staff, and students in creating a positive school culture that improves student learning and achievement. -
Student Support & Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS): Assist in overseeing student behavior, discipline, and socio-emotional screening processes; facilitate student recognition programs; and coordinate early childhood transitions, including Kindergarten and Universal Pre-K registrations and screenings. -
Instructional Leadership & Evaluation: Conduct formal teacher observations, informal walk-throughs, and non-instructional staff evaluations to support professional growth; design and facilitate meaningful Professional Development aligned with school goals. -
Student Services: Collaborate closely with the Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) team during regular consultative meetings to support diverse student needs. -
Data, Technology, & Testing Coordination: Manage student information systems for attendance, grading, and scheduling; oversee the implementation of Computer-Based Testing; and utilize school communication platforms to engage the community. -
Operations & Personnel Supervision: Assist in the supervision of support staff to ensure a safe, orderly environment; coordinate daily operational routines. -
School Culture & Extracurriculars: Assist in the support, monitoring, and reporting on student clubs and extracurricular activities; help to coordinate school-wide community events -
Extended Learning Programs: Oversee the planning, staffing, and implementation of summer learning and enrichment initiatives and screen incoming new students to ensure proper academic placement. -
Work as a collaborative member of the Cleveland Hill Administration team -
Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships with students, staff, families and community members -
Places an emphasis on student achievement and social-emotional well-being as the primary outcomes of school -
Collaborate with staff, students, families and administration to enhance students' behavior through the use of logical consequences and restorative practices. -
Assist in the supervision of students before, during and after the school day; specifically arrival, dismissal and the lunchroom. -
Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior plans and work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and the behavior specialist. -
Be an active member of the school community -
Participate in district-wide planning initiatives -
Collaborate with the building principal to create school-wide goals and plan professional development around those goals. -
