Cleveland Hill UFSD is seeking motivated certified teaching candidates for preferred substitute positions. Successful candidates will work every day when students are in session. Assignment will end no later than June 24th.  Candidates will accrue .50 paid time off days per month. Candidates will also receive paid Holidays. 

Candidates must be highly motivated and flexible and commit for the duration of the school year. Qualified candidates MUST possess a New York State Teacher Certification (any area).

Preferred Substitute Rate is $175 per day.

Each preferred substitute is district-wide, but will be assigned primarily to one building.  If there are no vacancies in the assigned building, the substitute will be shifted to either of the other two buildings.  The workday will be either 7 hours and 25 minutes - 8 hours per day depending upon whether after-school support is needed.  The workday times are as follows:

Elementary School: 8:15 - 3:30 (8:15 - 4:15 if after-school support is needed)

Middle School/High School: 7:35 - 2:55 (7:35 - 3:35 if after-school support is needed)

This vacancy is open to both potential NEW substitutes, along with substitutes who are already working in the district.

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in PreK–Grade 12 in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Duties include conducting evaluations and screenings, developing measurable IEP goals, delivering therapy services, monitoring student progress, and maintaining required documentation. Collaborates with families, educators, administrators, and related service providers to support student communication needs, participates in CSE/CPSE meetings, ensures compliance with special education regulations, and contributes to transition planning and other special education initiatives as assigned.

• Provide speech and language therapy services to students as mandated on their IEPs.

• Conduct speech-language screenings and evaluations to determine eligibility for services.

• Develop measurable goals and objectives aligned with students’ IEPs.

• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress monitoring, and service logs.

• Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE), or Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings and provide professional recommendations.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, and other related service providers to support students’ communication needs.

• Provide consultation and strategies to classroom staff to support communication development within the instructional setting.

• Prepare written reports and maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.

• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies to support communication skills.

• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with applicable laws and district policy.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or building administration. 

Substitute Rates are as followed:

$150 per day - NYS Certified Teachers

$135 per day - Non certified substitutes- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or be actively enrolled in a Teacher Preparation Program.

General Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the District's school health service program in accordance with district and state policies and regulations.

• Provide nursing care and coordinate physical screening to students
• Implement first aid measures for students as needed.
• Implement and record required screening programs; notify parents when further medical evaluation is indicated.
• Follow procedures for suspected cases of child abuse and neglect.
• Perform related work as required.
